The guide will provide an interesting presentation of the history of coffee in Costa Rica to get you prepared for a visit to the plantation. Then you will visit the hotbed, where you will get hands-on experience with the development of this incredibly popular commodity. Then it is off to the coffee plantation, where you will be able to collect some coffee yourself, while the guide provides more information about the plantation and the harvest. Here you also have the opportunity to learn about the different machines and their functions such as washing, selecting, peeling and pulping. Get a behind-the-scenes experience of the different types of roasting and how the coffee is packaged and labeled for distribution.
