This tour at Plaza Island is perfect to discover wildlife and enjoy nature. Plaza island is one of the best spots in the Galapagos archipelago to see the local fauna and the unique environment of the place.
You will be transferred to the dock Canal Itabaca to board the yacht that will take its course. The Canal Itabaca is the pair of two islands of crescent shape that rests just a few hundred meters off the east coast of Santa Cruz. Plaza Norte (North Island) is only used for scientific purposes. Plaza Sur is one of the smallest but richest islands in the archipelago. Only 130 meters wide, formed of volcanic magma, giving it a unique quality in its species. Your landing is in the channel between Plaza Norte and Plaza Sur where the island is deployed by the sea.
The turquoise waters of the channel contrast brilliantly with the white sand and black lava coast. Don't miss the chance to observe marine life, including manta rays. The place is perfect for snorkeling in a colony of sea lions that come to almost a thousand. Once all the activities are done, you will be back at the dock of Puerto Ayora.
