This 3-hour bike tour will show you all the essentials you need to see while in Stockholm and more. It is the ideal way to discover the city when you're traveling with a small group and as a private tour it can be customized to suit your preferences.
Upon meeting your guide for the tour, you will get equipped with bikes and then you will be on your way. Your first stop is at the city hall where you can take in the magnificent views, inner courtyard and architecture. You will continue towards the city center and you will ride through the old town Gamla Stan. Your guide will talk to you about Ridderholmen Church, Birger Jarl, Gustav Vasa, Queen Cristina, the founding of Stockholm and major historical events. You will then pay a visit to the statue of St George and the Dragon before moving on into the city. Here you will go past an iconic peppermint store. Did you know that peppermints were invented in Sweden?
In the next part of the tour you will head to Djurgarden. You will travel around at a leisurely pace and you will pass various points of interest such as Skansen, the Vasa Museum and the National History Museum. There will be plenty of time to stop for stories and take photos throughout the tour. If you are interested, you can also go for a traditional "fika" Swedish coffee break at a country style cafe, before heading back to the bike shop.
