What to expect

Get ready to take a deep breath of fresh air and feel the snow crunching under your feet on this snowshoe hike!

After pick up in Tromsø, you'll make your way to the snowshoe hike spot on Kvaløya island. On this approximately 1-hour journey, you'll drive through gorgeous landscapes full of mountains, fjords and sand beaches. You may even see some reindeer, sea eagles and moose along the way!

Then it’s time to put on your snowshoes, leave civilization behind and venture deep into the Arctic! You'll go through some snowshoeing techniques and your guide will share their knowledge of the region with you and will take plenty of pictures which will be sent to you the following day by email. At some point, there will be a short break for hot drinks and homemade sandwiches.

After an amazing day in the wilderness, you'll make your way back home and will be dropped off at your own accommodation in Tromsø.

What to remember

Pick up in front of The Magic Ice Bar Tromsø and drop off at your hotel in Tromsø Island. Please contact the local tour provider at least 24 hours before the start of your tour to communicate your drop off address (contact details will be provided after checkout)
You will be provided with thermal suits and boots but please remember to wear appropriate clothing including at least two layers, gloves, hat, good winter boots
Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to participate on this tour
