Welcome aboard the traditional wooden Åfjords boat Frøya!
Sailed by a team of passionate local captains and guides, the boat will take you on an unforgettable journey on the river Nidelva flowing through the very heart of Trondheim. You will, among many other things, see the Nidaros cathedral, the channel area and old harbor, the colorful wharves Bryggerekka, the submarine bunker DORA from ww2 and the old city bridge with its red portals of luck. Your local guide will tell you both the old and the new tales of the town, introducing you to its history, culture and people.
On the fjord you will circle around the island of the monks Munkholmen, with its majestic fortress and enjoy a magnificent view onto the horizons in the distance. You will also admire a unique view of the city from the fjord as you sail through its beautiful nature, accompanied with the sound of the waves and seabirds. You will discover an authentic experience of the city, suitable for locals and visiting guests.
