What to expect

Havana is one of the Caribbean's most intriguing cities. This overnight tour explores the Cuban capital at an unhurried pace, taking in the former Presidential Palace, Colon Cemetery, Revolution Square, the City Museum and Old Havana – and there's also the option of taking in the famous Tropicana club cabaret show.

Cross the Bridge of Bacunayagua, and head to the fishing village of Cojimar – the inspiration for Hemingway's Old Man and the Sea. Then it's on to Havana, for guided visits of the former Presidential Palace and the hugely ornate Colon Cemetery. See Cuba's modern side, including Revolution Square, the José Martí memorial and the Che Guevara mural, before dinner and the option of a cabaret show at Tropicana – Havana's version of the Moulin Rouge.

We overnight in Hotel Armadores de Santander, located in Old Havana, offering panoramic views of the bay. The next day, there's a guided old town tour, exploring colonial plazas and the baroque cathedral. There's also a visit to the City Museum in the old gubernatorial palace and free time after lunch.
