The Grimeton World Heritage site invites people from all around the world to get to know how today's wireless technology era once began. In Grimeton you can find the only remaining and still functioning long wave transmitter of its kind, in other words, the mobile phone ancestor.
Due to its unique values, the site was added to UNESCOs World Heritage List in 2004. Whether you are interested in history, technology or just some amusement, you are guaranteed a unique experience. The entrance ticket gives you access to the transmitter hall also known as "the heart of the site” and an exhibition which gives an overview of the station.
You'll find an obstacle course outside for children and you can watch the station film in the visitor center (available in Swedish, English or German). Here you'll also find “Kjells Kafé” and the gift shop.
