Ca' Pesaro Modern Gallery & Oriental Art - Tickets

The beautiful palace of Ca’ Pesaro hosts a prestigious International gallery of Modern Art and the Oriental Art Museum, along with numerous temporary art exhibtions.
FIRST FLOOR: The Modern Art Gallery contains various collections of paintings and sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries. Among them masterpieces by Chagall, Klimt, Kandinsky and many of the Italian prominent artists of the 20th century.
Collections are displayed in dedicated rooms, based on provenance, artistic movement or period.
Worth mentioning is Central Hall where visitors can find works from the very first Venetian Biennale, including a recognazable work by Kandinsky; or room 4 - set up thanks to the donation made to the museum in 1961 by collector Lionello De Lisi - with paintings by Italian 20th century's masters: Felice Casorati, Giorgio Morandi, De Pisis and De Chirico, alongside significant works by Echaurren and Mirò and more.
SECOND FLOOR: this is the home to many temporary exhibitions typically dedicated to contemporary artists.
THIRD FLOOR: it hosts the Museum of Oriental Art, in which visitors can find one of the most important collection of Japanese art of the Edo period with more than 30.000 objects, among which swords and daggers, Japanese armours, delicate enamel objects and precious porcelains, with wide sections dedicated to Indonesian and Chinese art.

A single ticket is valid for 3 months from date of purchase and grant only one admission to the Museum.
