Sirmione is a thing of beauty herself, a long and narrow peninsula jutting out into the lake and in the shadow of the southern Alps. You'll have a couple of hours to explore the town, with must-sees including the lakeside Scaligeri Castle and the villa of legendary opera diva Maria Callas.
