Head to Brewtown in Upper Hutt, to Kereru, a small, independently owned and family operated award-winning brewery that is incredibly passionate about making good beer and following sustainable practices. Have a taste of the beers on tap, some of which include ingredients unique to New Zealand, and join a staff-led brewery tour.
Then, stop at another member of the Brewtown family - Panhead Brewery. Launched in 2013 out of the old Dunlop tire factory in darkest Maidstone, they were embraced enthusiastically from the get go by Wellington’s beer cognoscenti!
Next, encounter Baylands Brewery for a tasting of their tap beers and a look through their extensive range of home brewing supplies. Finally, travel to Tuatara Temple of Taste – The Third Eye, where you will enjoy a shared tasting paddle of your choice in the Tuatara small batch brewery in Wellington city center.
