Walk in the footsteps of Anne Frank. This 1.5-hour small group tour takes you to the area where Anne Frank spent her childhood from the moment she moved to Amsterdam, until she went into hiding. Hear the story about her life in WW2 and her diary and how it became published.

After the walking tour, your guide will give you a ticket to visit the Jewish Cultural Quarter, where you can enter the beautiful synagogues, impressive buildings and memorials that grace the streets of Amsterdam’s old Jewish Quarter. Here you will find the Jewish Cultural Quarter including the Jewish Historical Museum with the impressive Children’s Museum, the stately Portuguese Synagogue, the moving National Holocaust Memorial and the National Holocaust Museum.

Meet your guide at Square Merwedeplein in Amsterdam South in front of the statue of Anne on the square, it’s in the area where she lived before the Annex. Note, this is not near the Anne Frank House/Museum.

What to remember
  • Small group tour with maximum 12 people for a more personalized experience
  • Please note the National Holocaust Memorial (temporarily closed for renovation from 30 June 2020 onward) and the National Holocaust Museum (temporarily closed for renovation from 2 February 2020 onward)
  • Remember that this tour is about where Anne Frank grew up and does not visit or enter the Anne Frank house in the city center. Thus, entrance tickets for the Anne Frank House are NOT included
  • The ticket for the Jewish Cultural Quarter is valid for 1 month
  • The ticket for the Jewish Cultural Quarter is valid for the entering the Jewish Historical Museum, Children’s Museum and the Portuguese Synagogue
