In this tour you will be traveling from Åndalsnes through iconic roads to visit some must-see sites such as the Troll Wall and the Trollstigen plateau. Your guide will share some interesting facts and stories about the places you'll be visiting along the way.
The excursion starts in the center of Åndalsnes where you will visit the Mountaineering Museum and watch the movie “Trollfolk”. From there the bus will take you to Europe’s tallest vertical rock face, also known as the Troll Wall. You will have a 15-minute stop during which you'll have plenty of time to take photos and admire the panorama. Don’t forget to look behind you to see the famous Romsdalshorn mountain.
You will then travel all the way up the iconic Troll Road, which was built in 1936 with 11 hairpin bends. Every bend has a name which you can find on the signs that have been placed at every curve. On the side of the road you can spot the King, the Queen and the Bishop mountains watching over you.
At the end of the road you will arrive to the Trollstigen plateau where you will have another break. Here you will find a restaurant, restrooms and a souvenir shop. You will also find a paved path leading to two platforms from which you can enjoy the stunning view over the valley, Trollstigen and its surrounding mountains.
