What to expect

Magical markets and fantastic food – this is Thailand in a nutshell. On this full day tour, you'll visit the floating market of Damnoen and the famous Maeklong Railway market. And in between, you'll call by a coconut sugar farm and enjoy a tasty seafood lunch too.

The morning kicks off with a visit to a coconut sugar farm where you'll see how it's made and try a few sweet treats. Then, arriving at Damonen floating market, you'll hop into a long-tailed boat and join the congested canals of colourful canoes. Laden with fresh produce, vendors float downstream selling to throngs of shoppers on the banks. The perfect place to practice your bargaining skills.

Moving on, we'll pass through the Conservation Mangrove Centre – a haven for rare plants, birds and wildlife. And if you're lucky, you may be in with a chance of spotting a monkey or two from the coach before arriving at the Maeklong Railway market. Here, rows of stalls set up on the tracks and shut shop as soon as they hear the trains approaching. And when they pass, it's back to business as usual – a real Thai spectacle.
