You'll probably be in no hurry to move from your sun lounger, but there's a lot more to see in Barbados beyond the beach. This day out lets you follow your senses around the isle, from west to east.
First on the agenda is a stop in Speightstown to take some quick pics of the tropical-coloured houses, before a guided tour around one of the only Jacobean mansions still standing, St Nicholas Abbey.
Further along the coast, you can snap views from 260 metres above the water at Cherry Tree Hill, and breathe in the ocean air at boulder-studded Bathsheba beach. And, after a whistle-stop morning of sights and sounds, there's time for a Bajan lunch at the antique-filled Sunbury plantation.
