What to expect

Das Museum Berggruen ist ein Muss für Liebhaber der klassischen Moderne. Hier finden Sie Werke unter anderem von Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, Henri Matisse und Alberto Giacometti. Wir verdanken Sie, wie die im gegenüberliegenden Gebäude untergebrachte Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg privater Sammelleidenschaft des Galeristen und Privatsammlers Heinz Berggruen. Eröffnet 1996, wurde die Ausstellung bald zu einem wahren Publikumsmagneten. Seit 2000 gehört sie zur Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz.
Ein weiterer Anziehungspunkt, für einen ruhigen Augenblick nach dem Museumsbesuch, oder davor, ist auch der Skulpturengarten von Bettina Berggruen, mit den “United Enemies” in seiner Mitte. Während der Öffnungszeiten des Museums Berggruen ist der Garten für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich.

Bis Ende März 2018 bietet das Museum auch eine Kabinettausstellung mit Fotos von Ulrike Kolb, die mit Werken von Chagall dekorierte Orte dokumentieren.
