Enjoy five mouth-watering tastings while exploring the narrow alleys in the maze of Bologna's medieval market, the Quadrilatero. You will literally taste Bologna’s essence touring five hidden food gems that have been carefully selected to give you an authentic local experience. The tour is led by an expert local guide, who will unveil ancient secrets and stories that will give you an insight into Bologna’s traditions and culture.
You will visit a fresh pasta workshop, where you will have the chance to see veteran pasta artisans at work, before entering Bologna’s most ancient deli store, where you will taste a special selection of cured meats and cheeses: Parmigiano-Reggiano with balsamic vinegar, mortadella, salame di felino, caciotta, prosciutto di Parma, all served with typical bread and local wines.
Take a break, sit down and chill in a pasta shop with a glass of wine and a dish of fresh, handmade pasta: tagliatelle al ragù, tortellini or tortelloni of your choice.
After lunch, it's time for a yummy dessert: sample delicious, artisanal gelato in a traditional ice-cream shop and the delightful "torta di riso" (rice cake) in the oldest bakery in town!
