What to expect

This small group tour has Calabrian customs, history and food all wrapped into one scenic day trip. During the day, you'll stop by the village of Caria to watch artisans at work and see its castle. And in Zungri, you'll visit its historic caves and sample some local treats, too.

We'll head inland into the village of Caria, a rustic village set in a landscape of rolling hills. Check out the crumbling Galluppi Castle and visit a couple of local artisans who make traditional wicker baskets and clay objects.

There's also a visit to Zungri. Discover the cave houses of Sbariati, which were the homes of medieval monks, and learn about local peasant traditions during a museum visit.
