Head on an artistic journey with a local guide to find the 6 forgotten giants of Copenhagen. These wooden statues are created by Thomas Dambo and built completely with recycled wood. You will go on a treasure hunt to find all 6 giants.
Meet your guide in a convenient central location and take public transportation into the suburbs. From here you will start your hike to the location of the first giant, and then head on to the second, third, all the way to the sixth. Artist Thomas Dambo placed one sculpture in each of the 6 municipalities west of Copenhagen with the meaning of bringing art outside of the museums. He called the giant hike an open-air sculpture treasure hunt.
If selected at checkout, after finding all six giants you will visit the Arken Museum of Modern Art in the municipality of Ishøj. This non-profit museum is located in an iconic building designed by Søren Robert Lund and inside you can admire a collection of around 400 pieces of both Danish and international artists mostly from 1990 up to the present day. A perfect way to visit your artistic day out in the suburbs.
