If you are tired of City crowds and you are a fan of hiking and walking through nature just half an hour away from Dubrovnik, then this trip is for you.
You will meet your guide at Gruz Harbour, in front of the Information corner. With the romantic old ferry boat Postira, which connects the Elaphite Islands with Dubrovnik, you will reach Kolocep Island. You will hike lost and forgotten paths and you will see the small church of St. Nicolas, one of the most representative samples of Croatian Romanesque architecture. Then you will follow a path through the pinewood which will take you to the western part of the Island where you will hike on a steep cliff, enjoying the views until you reach Placet clearing. There you will rest a bit and then continue your hike to Bezdan Lighthouse following the narrow path and enjoying the most amazing sea view. The next point on your hike is the Old Fort lost in the woods built by Napoleon.
Your final stop is Gornje Celo, the second village on the Island, where you will chill, swim and rest until it is time to leave this magical Island.
The smells of the Mediterranean flora and the sounds of millions of crickets will make this trip memorable. You will experience breathtaking viewpoints on top of high cliffs and hidden bays where you can swim in a crystal clear sea. You will hear legends, be introduced to the local way of life, enjoy local Mediterranean food, and learn about the peculiar state of mind, which protects the inhabitants of the islands from everyday stress and the illnesses of modern life.
