What to expect
Day 1: You will be greeted by a Pamir employee upon arrival in Dushanbe and transported to your hotel for an overnight stay. Prepare yourself for a full day of excitement and exploration.Day 2:Before your sightseeing tour in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, enjoy a traditional Tajik breakfast. Stroll through the Central Square and marvel at the magisterial monument of Ismoil Somoni. Your guide will take you through the Botanical Gardens and the National Museum of Antiquities of Tajikistan. Enjoy the pleasant, calming atmosphere of the gardens and learn about the ancient history of the region.Day 3:On your second day, prepare for an excursion to Hissar. Hissar, which is about 30 km from Dushanbe, is a unique historical and cultural reserve, featuring complex architectural structures. Explore the Hissar Fortress, built 2,500 years ago on a natural hill and preserved through the modern era. There is an optional lunch at a nearby restaurant, followed by a trip to the Varzob Gorge. Hike along the Varzob Gorge alongside locals and witness mountain rise above you as the wind rushes through your hair. Discover the thermal springs, lakes, and waterfalls hidden throughout the gorge. After this long day return to Dushanbe for your final night in the hotel. Day 4:For your last day in Dushanbe peruse the shops and markets, which give Dushanbe its name. Dushanbe means “Monday” in Tajik and references the markets historically popular on Mondays. Pamir will arrange transportation back to the airport and wish you a speedy return to Dushanbe!
