This 3-day tour will allow you discover Mull and Iona, two of Scotland's most beautiful islands, as well as other Highland staples. You'll voyage to Scotland's largest loch: Lomond, which has 61 islands within it. More natural wonders await at the Rest and Be Thankful Pass, where you'll be afforded stunning views from above before grabbing some history by visiting Inveraray's castle which housed the Campbell Clan. Heading north towards Oban you'll take in rugged scenery before quenching your thirst with some local whisky. Feel free to take part in a tasting tour at Oban Distillery, or if you'd rather, you can take a walk up to McCaig’s Tower for views over the town and islands further afield. Following a few hours in Oban, you’ll jump aboard a ferry and head over to Mull. If you're lucky you'll spot whales, dolphins or even basking sharks before arriving in the colourful fishing port of Tobermory where you'll sleep after an action-packed day.
After a restful night, you'll drive the length of the island to reach quaint Fionnphort, from where you’ll catch the ferry to the tiny island of Iona. This island is a haven of peace and tranquillity, and whether you choose to visit its ancient Abbey and Nunnery, its museum of Celtic heritage and history or take one of many excellent walks on the island, you won't be disappointed.
On day three you'll be island hopping, from Lochaline, keep an eye out for sea eagles en route, to Corran, driving through remote Glen Geal and past beautiful lochs Sunart and Linnhe. You'll drive past Ballachulish and its surrounding beautiful scenery before heading to Glen Coe to take pictures and learn the brutal story of the Massacre of that took place here in 1692. Nature, culture and history, this tour is a feast for the senses.
