Locals swear that northeastern La Gomera boasts the world's healthiest climate. And you can add to that some of the most beautiful views. On this guided hike along the island's north coast, you'll wander through Hermigua's banana fields, zigzag along Los Montes mountain trails and visit La Caleta beach.
Kicking off this hike in the banana country of Hermigua, you'll thread your way along verdant valleys freckled with speck of white farmhouses. Ramble along the ridge of Los Montes enjoying stop-and-stare scenery. With luck, in the horizon you'll see Mt Teide volcano rise above the clouds in Tenerife.
The trek ends on a high at the wave-washed black volcanic sands of La Caleta beach. If the weather permits, you can take a well-earned dip.
