Seeing Lanzarote through the eyes of César Manrique is a unique experience. The artist’s home is now a museum and a cultural center where his undisputed hallmark of integrating art and nature is present in every corner. The Foundation is located in what was the personal residence of César Manrique. It rises in a very peculiar and original field of five volcanic bubbles. Taking advantage of the bubbles he created five different rooms and inside a pool of identical design to Los Jameos del Agua, but smaller.
Circular spaces that allow light to pass through mysterious openings, plant life growing inexplicably from a black surface, floors and bright white walls, and water, as the protagonist... all symbols of distinction present in most of his works. Upstairs, what were once household units are the museum where you can see the work of Manrique, and other works from his private collection of artists such as Picasso, Miró, Chillida, Guerrero, Chirino, Sempere , etc.
