The lunar-like landscape of Los Volcanes Natural Park and La Geria will be the setting for this half-day hike. Lace up your hiking boots and join your guide on a four-hour walk through a landscape shaped by volcanoes and the wine-growing region of Lanzarote. Expect to fill your camera with portraits of all shapes and sizes.
If you've already had your fill of time on the sun loungers, then this guided hike will show you a new side to Lanzarote. You'll venture into the protected Los Volcanes Natural Park, which borders the famous Timanfaya National Park, where you'll begin an easy seven-kilometre walk.
You'll pass by lava fields, tunnels and craters while trying to wrap your head around the bizarre shapes and palette of colours of the land. What's more, your guide will fill you in on the details of the last eruptions, and how entire villages and valleys were covered. The route also goes through La Geria, an area where vines are cultivated in the black volcanic soil.
