Every summer, villages all around Malta come to life during the traditional ‘festas' – celebrations to honour their patron saint. During this evening trip, you'll take part in the festivities, see how locals celebrate festas their own way and experience a vibrant part of Maltese culture.
Every weekend during summer, different villages in Malta and Gozo honour their patron saint with celebrations that are highly anticipated events in the cultural calendar. You'll travel to one of the villages and experience a night crammed with live music, street food, incredible fireworks and an unforgettable atmosphere. Churches lit up like Christmas trees and houses decorated with twinkling lights all make the Maltese festas as special as they are.
You'll see street decorations, processions accompanied by brass bands and you'll also be able to sample local food with stalls selling traditional snacks, souvenirs and specialities such as nougat. What's more, the evening is normally rounded off with a show-stopping fireworks display to bring the celebrations to a colourful close. Spend the night celebrating with the locals, the local way, and join in a Maltese festa.
