Next Drive past the Awali Town. It was the first centrally located Air–condition town in Bahrain. It is also the staff headquarters and accommodation for foreign officials of BAPCO (Bahrain Petroleum Company). Bahrain was the first country on the Arabian side of the Arabian Gulf where oil was struck. You'll visit the aptly-named First Oil Well where Bahrain’s oil industry began more than 89 years ago. In fact, Bahrain's first well was studded in October 1931, “Well Number 1,” now a landmark tourist site in Bahrain, once produced 9,600 barrels a day the first oil well. Next to Jabel AL Dukhan, dubbed the mountain of smoke the highest point of the island.
Next, visit Tree of Life. An Acacia tree which survives itself for more than 400 years in the middle of the Bahrain desert without any water supply. Some believe this tree belongs to the Garden of Eden.
