The Heróica city of Valladolid was founded in 1543 by Francisco de Montejo and is currently the second most important city after Mérida of Yucatán. But in terms of tourism is the most important geographical points due to the proximity it has with archaeological sites such as Chichén Itzá and Ek Balam, in addition to having its own tourist attractions.
Valladolid lends itself very well to escape a little from the every day and rest in a typical Yucatecan city.
Your day starts at 8.00am at your hotel where you will be picked-up to reach the archaelogical site. Upon arrival at 10.00am, the guide will buy tickets for all groups (not included). You'll visit Valladolid accompanied by your certified guide, walk through this archaeological zone, which is one of the most recent discoveries about the Mayan culture. On this tour, we will also visit the charming colonial city of Valladolid and the incredible Saamal Cenote located in Hacienda Selva Maya. There, you will enjoy a delicious lunch with some of the most famous traditional dishes of Yucatan cuisine.
