Day 1: Mexico City and Anthropology Museum (7h)
On the first day, you'll get acquainted with Mexico City, walking around its historic center, learning about its Pre-Hispanic and colonial past, discovering its rich traditions and culture and trying the best of local gastronomy.
After a pick-up from your accommodation, you'll go to the Historic Center. There, you'll visit the huge Metropolitan Cathedral, see the frescoes of Diego Rivera in the National Palace and explore the impressive buildings of the Main Post Office and the Palace of Fine Arts. This tour will also include some unique gastronomic discoveries, like trying pulque (an ancient beverage made of fermented sap of maguey) in an old-style traditional Mexican cantina, savoring traditional tacos de canasta (basket tacos) and having a coffee on a roof bar with one of the best views of the historic center. Before the end of the tour, you'll visit the National Anthropology Museum.
Day 2: Xochimilco, Coyoacan and Frida Kahlo Museum (7h)
On the second day, you'll discover the renowned districts of Xochimilco and Coyoacan and visit the world-famous Frida Kahlo Museum.
After a pick-up from your accommodation, you'll go with your guide to the Xochimilco neighborhood, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. There, you'll enjoy a 1h private ride along its picturesque canals on a colorful trajinera (a traditional flat-bottom boat decorated with colorful ornaments), listen to traditional music performed by mariachi and try some traditional Mexican snacks. Later, you'll drive to the historic neighborhood of Coyoacán to visit the Frida Kahlo Museum, where the painter lived almost all her life and created some of her most famous works. After a guided tour of the museum, you'll explore the colonial-era old churches and squares of Coyoacán.
Day 3: Teotihuacán (6h)
On the last day, you'll visit the impressive Teotihuacan, the capital of the first Mesoamerican empire that is currently on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
After a pick-up from your accommodation, you'll take a 1h drive (depending on the traffic) to Teotihuacan. For about 3 hours you'll leisurely explore the archaeological zone with your tour guide, admiring the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the Road of the Dead and other sights of this ancient city.
