The inside story
Relive the sparkling, glittering, carefree and joyous charm of th Belle Epoque. Admire the works of one of its greatest artists: Czech painter Mucha. An exhibition pays tribute to him, retracing his career through some of his most important works. "Alfons Mucha and the Art Nouveau atmospheres" takes place at the Palazzo Reale in Milan. Visiting the exhibition, you will embark on a journey into the refine Liberty style which, at the turn of the century, characterized the world of art, architecture, craft and design in Europe. Over 220 works, lent by the Richard Fuxa Foundation, reconstruct Mucha's career, particularly through posters and decorative panels. The exhibition is divided into ten sections, ranging between interesting topics, such as the theater, female figure, passion for Japanese prints, floral imaginary and precious materials. You will also be able to admire ceramics, furniture, wrought iron, glass, sculptures and drawings by other European artists of the Art Nouveau.
