This tour takes you inland to Montenegro's beautiful mountains, rivers and canyons. Pass the capital, Podgorica, and go through the Moraca Canyon to visit the Moraca Monastery. You'll then cross the mountains to see the Tara Canyon and on to Durmitor National Park – famed for its glacial lakes.
You'll see plenty of Montenegro's amazing landscapes on the way to Moraca Monastery, which is known for its frescoes. Next up is the Tara canyon – only the Grand Canyon is deeper – which splits the mountains of Durmitor National Park. The views from the Djurdevica bridge are incredible, and a short hike will give you the chance to explore the canyon further.
On the way back, visit the ‘twin lakes' of Crno Jezero. This glacial lake is well worth a trip – mountains and thick pine forests are reflected on its clear waters. Just one of the many natural features that have earned the park UNESCO World Heritage Site status.
