Once in Oliena, you will walk through the narrow streets of the historic center of the town towards the leather workshop, where, in addition to the rich display of high-quality Sardinian handicrafts, you will also witness the making of Cambales, thick leather leggings that were used by farmers to protect their legs from the weather and the branches. You will then assist in the working of the Tascheddas, leather bags, which were used by Sardinian farmers and shepherds to carry the meal of the day.
Both are products of Sardinian handicrafts of daily use in the agro-pastoral life of the whole island.
