Your wine expert guide will pick you up in the early morning at your hotel in Paris and take you to the vineyard (90 min ride). Enjoy freshly baked croissants while hearing an introduction to Champagne wines.
Start the day with the visit of a top-notch wine producer, such as Dom Pérignon or Ruinart. Step inside cellars, walk through a maze of galleries, and enjoy a tasting while learning the secrets behind Champagne making. Then, drive through the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims, Cote des Blancs, and Vallée de la Marne, between Reims, Ay, and Epernay. Learn how to distinguish Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
For lunch, you will enjoy the refinement of French haute cuisine in a 1* Michelin restaurant set up in a magnificent Château!
After lunch, you'll visit the charming village of Hautvillers, and stop at the abbey where Dom Perignon worked on the wine-making process more than 300 years ago. The tour ends at a family-run winery where you'll see all the tools used to craft their exceptional cuvées, from the press to the tanks and barrels. You’ll get to taste three authentic Champagnes largely unavailable in the rest of the world.
