#A private tour with *Philadelphia Urban Adventures,* created just for you and your group! **Private Tour(up to 6 People)** *All Ages Welcome!* ##About Philadelphia is a city full of world-renowned museums. Whether you are interested in American history, Renaissance art, medical oddities or ancient cultures from around the globe, there is the perfect museum waiting for you in the City of Brotherly Love. But with so many incredible attractions to see in Philly, we understand that it may be difficult for you to visit many of the city’s wonderful museums - this is why we created the Museums on the Run tour! Our Museums on the Run tour gives you the opportunity to visit multiple museums without the hassle of buying tickets or worrying about transportation and parking. You will be accompanied by one of our amazing tour guides and driven between museums in our six-passenger van, your guide can pick you up and drop you off at any location of your choice. Your tour is completely customizable - you can choose the length of time of the tour (3 - 8 hours) and how many and which museums you want to visit. At each museum, we will focus on the institution’s main highlights, spending 45 minutes - 1 hour at each museum, so you can visit as many as possible during your tour. The best part is - we deal with all of the logistics! All you need to do is prepare to learn, have fun, and enjoy Philly’s incredible museum scene. Pricing for this tour depends on the length of your tour and how many and which museums you choose to visit (based on ticket pricing). Typically, on a 3-hour tour, you’ll be able to visit 2 museums, a 4-6 hour tour will take you to 3-4 museums, and a 6-8 hour tour will allow you to visit 5-6 museums. **Each of the eight available museums below is unique.** Whether you want to see Vincent Van Gogh’s famous Sunflowers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, observe the mummified remains of Soap Lady at the Mutter Museum, explore the intricacies of the human brain and heart at the Franklin Institute of Science, you can with our Museums on the Run tour! - Academy of Natural Sciences: Founded in 1812, the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University is a leading natural history museum dedicated to advancing research, education, and public engagement in biodiversity and environmental science. Visitors to the Academy have the opportunity to get face-to-face with towering dinosaurs, meet live animals, and explore a tropical garden filled with live butterflies. Philadelphia’s natural history museum offers surprises for all ages, from changing interactive science exhibits to a children’s discovery center, a fossil dig, and opportunities to interact with real science experts. - Franklin Institute: Founded in honor of America’s first scientist, Benjamin Franklin, The Franklin Institute is one of the oldest and premier centers of science education and development in the country. Today, the Institute continues its dedication to public education and creating a passion for science by offering new and exciting access to science and technology in ways that would dazzle and delight its namesake. - Independence Seaport Museum: Independence Seaport Museum deepens the understanding, appreciation, and experience of the Philadelphia region’s waterways through history, science, and art, plus experiences on the water. Along with National Historic Landmark ships Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna, the Museum is home to a boatbuilding workshop, Citizen Science Lab, and a MakerSpace. Guests can also explore the river with small boat rentals, on-water programming, and one of the largest maritime art and artifact collections in North America. The crown jewel of the Museum’s collection is one of the most iconic surviving artifacts of the Revolution: General Washington’s War Tent. Follow the Tent's remarkable journey from the Revolutionary War to the present through a moving and immersive film presentation. - Mütter Museum: America's finest museum of medical history, the Mütter Museum displays its beautifully preserved collections of anatomical specimens, models, and medical instruments in a nineteenth-century "cabinet museum" setting. The goal of the Museum is to help visitors understand the mysteries and beauty of the human body and appreciate the history of diagnosis and treatment of disease. - National Liberty Museum: Located in the heart of historic Philadelphia, the National Liberty Museum brings liberty to life through stories of people whose character and courage have expanded liberty for all. The Museum’s exhibits, educational experiences and public programs inspire visitors to think about liberty as an ongoing human quest that we all share. - Philadelphia Museum of Art: Visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art and discover the cultural heart of Philadelphia. The Museum’s landmark building houses one of the most comprehensive art collections in the country, featuring works from America, Asia, and Europe. You’ll also find van Gogh’s Sunflowers, the world’s largest Marcel Duchamp collection and a Japanese Teahouse all under one roof as well as the only dedicated Rodin Museum outside France. The Museum is a place that welcomes everyone and makes the experience surprising, lively, and always memorable. - Penn Museum: At the Penn Museum, make powerful connections between ways of life past and present, near and far. Discover the cultures of Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Mediterranean, from the very first cities of the Middle East to the kings of ancient Egypt; from prehistoric Mexico to the lives of Native American communities today. The Museum is a place for everyone to explore who we are and where we came from.
