Live the experience of admiring Saint Peter's Basilica with this reserved entrance guided visit! Take this chance to discover the secrets of one of the greatest wonders of the Renaissance and admire Michelangelo's masterpiece, the ‘Pieta’ and some of Bernini’s world famous sculptures.
Known as the Queen of all the Basilicas, the Basilica of St. Peter is a church in the Renaissance style with a central dome that dominates the skyline of Rome. As you enter the church, you will see that its interior is of vast dimensions by comparison with other churches.
At the heart of the basilica, beneath the high altar, you will discover the Confessio or Chapel of the Confession, in reference to the confession of faith by St. Peter, which lead to his martyrdom. You’ll take the two curving marble staircases that lead to this underground chapel at the level of the Constantinian church and immediately above the burial place of Saint Peter.
You will see St. Peter's is lavishly decorated halls with marble, reliefs, architectural sculptures, and beautiful gilding.

MEETING POINT: St Peter's Square - the Vatican. Facing the Basilica, the meeting point is on the right hand side, outside of the square in front of the Vatican Post Office (Poste Vaticane). There, a staff member will be waiting for you 15 minutes before your booking time. The staff member will be wearing a blue jacket with the Vox Mundi logo. WARNING: Do not get in line before reaching the meeting point! The only check you will be subjected to is the one at the reserved entrance.
Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled time and show your voucher to the tour coordinator/guide. It is the individual responsibility of all visitors to arrive at the tour departure point.
Entrance to the Vatican requires a strict dress code (Shoulders and knees must be covered; Low cut or sleeveless tops or shorts are not allowed for both men and women). Clients that do not adhere to the dress code will not be permitted entry to the Vatican. The service begins and ends in St. Peter's Square.
