Prepare yourself for a beautiful day spent swimming and snorkelling in one of the most beautiful natural sites in Italy: Ponza Island.
This excursion begins early from a Rome near the Piramide metro stop - we will wait you at Cafe' du Parc (Piazza di Porta S.Paolo, 00153 Roma) with a 7:00 AM start. After a quick check in , hour-long transfer to the nearest port, you'll board the ferry to the Island, just one hour and a half away. We'll travel to Ponza Island on a comfy swift ferry from here. The price of the excursion does not include the 50 euro per person cost of the ferry. At check-in, the ferry tickets must be paid for. The 1.5-hour ride is a fantastic opportunity to take a quick nap in order to get ready for the exciting day that lies ahead.
At about 10:15AM, we'll arrive in Ponza and take a short stop to eat breakfast (on your own time) or buy any last-minute necessities or snacks to bring with us on the next part of our adventure. We'll board an excursion boat at 11 AM with other travelers, most of whom will be Italian tourists on vacation, and start our round of the entire island.
To make the most of our day and stay in the calmest waters where we'll feel most comfortable, our knowledgeable captain, a local Ponzan, will change our itinerary based on the wind and waves.Our captain and first mate will make a quick and delicious pasta lunch during the voyage, which will be served picnic-style on the deck with water, wine, and even a genuine Italian espresso.
