This is the perfect tour that combines culture, traditions and food. You will get to see the Monastery of St. Catherine and learn all about its role in society and also how it was established.
It is now time to drive to St. Catherine's city, where you will see local Bedouins lifestyle, observe their houses and also how they prepare their authentic meals. Until lunch is cooked completely, your guide together with a Bedouin guide will accompany you on a wander tour for about 2 hours through St. Catherine's valleys, where Sinai herbs are grown naturally.
Once back at the Bedouin house you are now ready for an authentic Bedouin meal. When it comes to eating and drinking, the Bedouin learn from an early age to eat healthy food, always in small amounts. They make their meals at home or in the desert, grow their own vegetables, eat meat they have reared and cook fish they have caught.
Their houses are so simple and just equipped with the essential needs. Instead of spending money on paint, furniture, beautiful curtains or modern kitchen equipment, they place their priority on providing a good welcoming for guests. They are proud and happy with their home as long as they have Bedouin seating areas (carpets and cushions on the ground), a good fire that is always lit, coffee and tea.
