The Levinsky market ,named after the Jewish Russian author Elhanan Leib Levinsky, was built as a trading center for the residents of the new city of Tel Aviv. It attracted Bulgarian, Bukharan, Persian, Balkan, Polish and North African newcomers which created the rich and unique blend of spices and delicacies.
