Your guide will tell you all about the relation between food and the history of Timisoara. After the brief introduction accompanied by a starter dish, you will walk to the old town and discuss the Ottoman part of the history of the city. Restore yourself with a typical Romanian lunch soup - ciorba and continue to the 17th fortification system. There you will talk about the star-shaped fortresses, typical for the 18th century and try the famous sarmale (cabbage rolls). Continue your guided walk through the city and stop along the way to taste the mince (minced meat rolls). See the Opera house and the Orthodox Cathedral. After the final stop - Maria Square - finish the tour with papayas, a very simple but irresistible typical Romanian dessert.
