You will start this comprehensive day tour of Xi’an in the morning where the tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at around 08.00am. You'll be escorted by a knowledgeable professional tour guide and join a group of travellers from all over the world. Driving to the Banpo neolithic village you'll visit Banpo museum. Built at the base of the excavations of the Banpo site which is a typical Neolithic matriarchal community of the Yangshao culture dating back about 6,000 years. You will see how the resident matriarchic tribe used to survive in the Neolithic age.
You will then continue sightseeing by exploring the terracotta warriors and horses museum and Qin Shi Huang mausoleum, which are the highlights of Xi’an. These terracotta warriors and horses are the size of a real army, and were buried alongside the Emperor - Qinshihuang in a vast underground palace. Follow the tour guide to explore these most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century, see 7,000 life-sized figures in ordered rows and learn the history of Xi’an.
On the way back to downtown, visit the Terracotta Replication Factory and get to know how to re-made terracotta soldiers. Then enjoy a comfortable and relaxing transfer back to your hotel to conclude the Xi’an highlights tour.
