The island is one of the sunniest in the Adriatic, with over 2,500 hours of sunshine per year. Pebbly beaches with crystal clear sea comprise the 270 km coastline. Pag stands out among its Adriatic Isle counterparts thanks to stone hideaways that showcase the centuries-old work of the islanders.

Pag is a perfectly protected renaissance city with numerous squares, bridges, villas, and churches, and your local guide will tell you all about its history and cultural heritage. You will visit Church of the Assumption of Mary which is in the center of the Old Town. The church holds a miraculous, early 15th-century Holy Cross.

You will also see the 15th-century church of St. George that was once part of the city's defensive wall, which was built according to the design of Juraj Dalmatinac (George the Dalmatian), the city's patron saint.

The Church of St. Francis sits in the southern part of the Old Town and it was used by Conventual Franciscans.

Next, you will walk over to the Benedictine Monastery of St.Margaret. Since antiquity, the Benedictine nuns have played a special role in Pags formation, especially in girls' education. They taught lace making, instructed at the monastery's free public school and opened the first nursery. This order has very strict lifestyle and the nuns only emerge from their space in exceptional cases.

After visiting old churches andthe monastery, you will step back in time walking through Katina, a restoration of the 15th-century bridge that conected Pag to its warehouses. Salt or salt storage facilities are in the center of town, and they indicate how important salt has always been for Pag's people.

In addition to cheese, Pag is also famous for its lace production. Pag lace is handcrafted by local women and it's believed that the local lace origins lie in the city of Mycenae. Nowadays, the Pag lace makers can be seen on the streets handcrafting beautiful needlework. You can visit the Pag Lace Gallery Square Petar Krešimir IV in the city center.

While driving from Pag to Lun you will be able to see famous dry walls of stone, a crucial part of Pag's history and an eternal monument to the life that Pag's farmers who built and maintained these 1,000 kilometers of walls for centuries.

You will also pass the Gradac viewpoint, Pag's most beautiful panoramic view which is on the road connecting Pag and Novalja.

Stop at make a stop at Gligora cheese factory in Kolan where you will enjoy a tasting of prize winning cheeses and learn about cheese production.

Later you’ll visit Lun, the northernmost point of Pag island and natural reservation for olive trees, some of which are 2,000 years old. The Lun area holds about 80,000 olive trees.
