Excite your senses with this Zanzibar day trip. Search for the rare, red colobus monkey in the jungles of Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, then turn up the heat with a visit to a spice farm and see how the likes of vanilla, nutmeg and cardamom are grown, tasting as you go. And on your return, you'll stop by Kidichi, an ornate Persian bathhouse.
Kick off in Jozani Chwaka National Park and you'll step foot into the forest home of endangered red colobus monkeys, bush babies, duikers, butterflies and birds. Keep your eye trained on the treetops and you'll be in with a chance of spotting these elusive creatures as you make tracks through the park.
Arrive at a spice farm and you'll see how pepper, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla and cinnamon are grown and get to try some too. Then after finding out how spices are used in local dishes and medicine, we make a final stop at Kidichi Persian Baths, where you can still make out the massage tables and pools built in 1850.
