This tour begins by picking you up from your Beirut hotel lobby and then a short meeting and introduction of the tour follows by your driver/guide.
You will set out through the bustling downtown streets, and visit several top Beirut attractions and landmarks. Each sight comes with a story, so follow your guide and learn about the people and the events that shaped them, emphasizing on the history, the civil war (1975-1990) and the occupations (1978-2005).
After that you will be taken to the National Museum of Beirut to learn more about the historical civilizations that passed from Lebanon. Stroll around to view the highlights displayed in its galleries, such as prized Phoenician statues, Byzantine mosaics, and Roman pieces, and gain a fascinating overview of the city’s and Lebanon’s wider history.
Next you will proceed to Downtown Beirut and start the walking tour to visit the souks, the parliament, the star square, the hammams, Mohamed El Amin mosque, St. George's cathedral, the waterfront, Zaitunay Bay, the pigeon rocks and the corniche.
