This morning tour sees you cycling through Sri Lanka's lush and varied countryside. With the help of an electric bike, you'll glide past paddy fields, wetlands, tea bushes and cinnamon estates. There will be two stops along the way – one to see a cinnamon peeler and the other to freshen up with a coconut drink.
With your helmet on, you'll zoom inland on an electric bike to explore the estates and plantations. Passing by Buddhist temples and paddy fields, you'll arrive at a cinnamon estate where you'll stop at a village house to watch a cinnamon peeler at work. Then back on your bike, you'll head through open wetlands, home to an array of birdlife.
After an hour or so, you'll stop for a refreshing coconut, before making your way back along different route – this time past lowland tea bushes. The strong black tea produced here is exported and even infused with mint.
