The beautifully preserved historic city of Cordoba offers many great sights and attractions in a perfectly compact area. You'll explore its old town and visit its greatest monuments on this full day tour.
Sitting on the River Guadalquivir, Cordoba is a medley of Roman, Moorish, Christian and Jewish architectural influence and was once Europe's biggest city. After entering the city on foot via the famous Roman Bridge, you'll take a guided walking tour around its landmarks, including its masterpiece – the Great Mosque. This vast thousand-year-old temple is crowded with more than 800 arched columns and is unique for housing a Gothic cathedral in its centre.
The guided tour will then continue through the picturesque Jewish Quarter – whose narrow streets bursting with colourful flowers lead up to the 15th century synagogue. Take some free time afterwards to explore the city on your own or drop into a restaurant somewhere for a spot of lunch.
