As the birthplace of European civilisation, Athens and history go hand-in-hand. Take a guided tour of the must-see sights in the cradle of democracy. Visit the landmark Acropolis towering above the city and the iconic Parthenon. There's also a photo stop at the Corinth Canal and free time in Plaka – the oldest neighbourhood in the city.
First up is the Acropolis. Dating back to the 5th-century BC, this giant marble citadel is one of the world's greatest monuments. It's home to the Parthenon, an ancient temple originally built to worship the city's namesake goddess, Athena. Tour the well-preserved ruins with a guide and take in the 360-degree panoramic views – it's a great selfie spot.
Afterwards, there's free time in Athens old quarter, Plaka, and a photo opportunity over the Corinth Canal.
