Upon collection from your designated hotel or meeting point in Tirana, you'll embark on a 1.5-hour journey in a comfortable van. A brief stop at a local market provides an opportunity to purchase snacks, utilise the complimentary facilities and stretch your legs before continuing.
The first destination is Bovilla Canyon, where you can take a leisurely stroll, breathe in the fresh air and admire the petite canyon. A short 10-minute journey later, you'll arrive at Bovilla Lake, marking the commencement of your hike. The tour guide will outline the plan and provide assistance as needed. The hike spans approximately 2 km in total (1 km uphill and 1 km downhill). While not overly strenuous, the summer heat can intensify the challenge. Should you require assistance or feel fatigued, simply inform the guide. Upon reaching the "Balcony of Bovilla", you'll have some free time to soak up the spectacular view. Whether you choose to capture the moment with photographs or sit quietly and relax, it's entirely up to you. There's also a small bar/restaurant nearby offering refreshments accompanied by a splendid lake view.
Following the hike, you'll return to the van for a final stop at the river beneath the dam. Here, between May and September, you can take a refreshing dip - please note that swimming in the lake is prohibited due to its protected status. At the conclusion of this memorable day, you'll be transported back to your original pick-up location in Tirana.
