The Andechs Monastery offers a brewery tour that's quite out of the ordinary. Thanks to virtual reality, you can gain unprecedented insights into the monastery brewery and the craft of brewing beer right there on site.

The art of brewing has a long-standing history at Andechs. With a VR tour in German through the monastery brewery, this rich history is brought closer to you. In collaboration with the monastery brewery, dry knowledge transfer is given a fresh twist with the use of virtual reality.

Optionally, you can enhance your experience with a beer tasting session, although this isn’t included in the ticket price.

  • This activity runs only in German
  • The discount rate is available to children from 6 to 12 years
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the tour at the little house with the sign “Zur Brauereiführung” and register at the ticket office
  • The tour is suitable for ages 6 and up
  • It is a guided tour with VR elements. The VR glasses are not worn while walking
  • There is no beer tasting at the end of the tour

Remember to bring:

  • As the brewery tour takes place partly in the open air, please remember to bring weather-appropriate clothing and possibly an umbrella
