Questo tour di tre giorni passa da una delle città più storiche dell'India ai suoi ambienti naturali più selvaggi. Esplorerete un'infinità di tesori iscritti nella lista dell'UNESCO, palazzi incontaminati e magnifici monumenti nell'antico regno di Mysore e visiterete il Parco Nazionale di Bandipur, il principale santuario delle tigri del Bengala e degli elefanti del Paese.

Partite presto per volare da Goa a Bangalore, la "città giardino" dell'India. Durante il tragitto verso Mysore vi fermerete a Srirangapatna, una città-isola nel mezzo del fiume Kaveri, dove un imponente tempio del IX secolo occupa il centro della scena. Da lì si raggiunge in breve tempo l'hotel di Mysore, antica capitale della dinastia Wodiyar e sede delle prossime due notti. Dopo pranzo, il pomeriggio inizia con una visita al tempio di Chamundi Hill. Si prosegue poi con il palazzo di Mysore, la stella della città. Trascorrete il tempo ammirando le sue cupole e gli archi colorati e passeggiando attraverso le porte intricatamente intagliate nelle stanze sontuosamente decorate, un tempo residenza dei potenti maharaja. Il primo giorno si conclude con una sosta al colorato mercato dei fiori e della frutta di Devaraja e con una visita serale ai Giardini di Brindavan.

Il secondo giorno si passa dalla storia alla natura nel Parco nazionale di Bandipur. Si tratta di uno dei principali santuari della fauna selvatica dell'India e della più grande area protetta dell'India meridionale. Dopo un viaggio panoramico in auto fino al parco, farete un emozionante safari per avvistare imponenti elefanti indiani, bellissime tigri del Bengala e altro ancora. Dopo una giornata selvaggia, tornerete a Mysore per andare a dormire. L'ultimo giorno, il momento clou è la visita a Somanathapura e all'antico tempio di Keshava, risalente al 1268. Mentre ci si dirige a nord verso l'aeroporto, si ha la possibilità di visitare Cubbon Park e Vidhan Soudha, se il tempo lo consente, prima di rientrare a Goa in serata.

From there it's a short drive to the hotel in Mysore, the ancient capital of the Wodiyar dynasty, and home for the next two nights. After lunch we kick off the afternoon's sightseeing with a trip to Chamundi Hill Temple. Then it's on to the city's star turn, the Mysore Palace. Spend time here admiring its colourful domes and archways, and wandering through intricately carved doorways into lavishly decorated rooms, once the residence of the mighty maharajas. Round off day one with a stop at the colourful Devaraja flower and fruit market and an evening visit to Brindavan Gardens.On day two, we swap history for nature in Bandipur National Park. This is one of India's premier wildlife sanctuaries and the largest protected area in southern India. After a scenic drive to the park, you'll take a thrilling safari ride to spot impressive Indian elephants, beautiful Bengal tigers and more. After a wild day out, you'll head back to Mysore to hit the hay. On your last day, the highlight is a trip to Somanathapura and the ancient Keshava Temple, dating back to 1268. As you head northbound towards the airport there's a chance to visit Cubbon Park and Vidhan Soudha if time allows, before jetting back to Goa in the evening.
