This 90-minute walking tour of Miltenberg will lead you through a fairy-tale-style town that hasn’t quite caught up with the fast pace of Germany’s bigger towns and cities yet. Your guide will take you down quiet cobbled streets lined with colourful half-timbered houses. You’ll see the pretty Alter Markplatz square, where a double-towered church rises above pointy rooftops. Then you’ll hear about the Giant – the oldest hotel in the town. Its exterior is ornately decorated, and worth a photo or two. On your way back to the ship, keep your eyes peeled for the Wurzburger Tor, a huge, ancient tower that was once part of the old city walls.
