The afternoon kicks off by heading to local distillery, Skanderbeg, for a snifter of traditional Albanian brandy, cognac and wine. You'll then venture behind the ancient walls of the city of Durrës. Once an important outpost of the Roman Empire, it's now a vibrant and modern port area – but that doesn't mean it hasn't retained its historic charms. Your expert guide will give you the lowdown on all the monuments here such as the 5th century fortress and the city's star attraction, the ancient Greco-Roman amphitheatre. You'll then have some free time to roam the upscale marina area before heading back to your hotel for the night.
